This stretch of water at the University of East Anglia was formed by the flooding of quarries when the University was built, and as befits a seat of learning, there are areas around it which have been set aside for conservation purposes and geological research. It’s quite a pretty area – not as wild or as “natural” as a lot of the other broads in Norfolk, but still a good place to while away a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon, before having a cup of tea and a bun at the Sainsbury Centre.
